24k Pure Gold ( 999 )
Purity : 24k gold is made up of 99.9% of pure gold which is the purest form of gold with no mix of any other metals.
Colour: Due to the high gold content, pure gold items are always more saturated in terms of it's yellow hue as compared to gold items of other purity levels.
Durability: Gold is a soft metal and jewellery made of pure gold requires more care when wearing as it is softer than gold jewellery of other gold purity.
Value: Pure gold is valuable internationally and is priced at a higher per gram cost than 22k gold as it has a higher gold content.
Design Limitations: There are some design limitations when it comes to making jewellery in pure gold due to it's softness. Designs that requires stone settings usually will not be done in pure gold as it is not sturdy enough for holding gemstones.

22k Gold ( 916 )
Purity: 22k gold is made up of 91.6% of pure gold with a mix of 8.4% of other metals.
Colour: With a small amount of other metals mixed in it, 22k gold jewellery is very slightly less yellow than 24k gold jewellery. It's colour tone varies depending on the type of metals that is mixed into it.
Durability: 22k gold jewellery is the most popular type of gold jewellery in Singapore as it is not as soft as 24k gold jewellery, making it more durable and more suitable for daily wear.
Value: Despite it being lower in purity as compared to 24k gold, 22k gold still has great value retainment and has the same deduction percentage as 24k gold when being traded-in or sold for cash.
Design Limitations: Not recommended for paved setting or setting of expensive gemstones.

20K Gold ( 850 )
Purity: 20K gold is less common these days but still being used for making yellow gold jewellery with stone settings. It is made up of 85% of pure gold with a 15% mix of other metals.
Colour: Yellow hue very close to 22k gold depending on types of metals being mixed with.
Durability: Harder and more sturdy than 22k and 24k gold.
Value: Can be sold for cash and traded-in but lower value retainment as compared to 22k and 24k gold. Some shops do not take in due to stone setting.
Design Limitations: Not much.

18k Gold ( 750 )
Purity: Made up of 75% of pure gold and 25% of other metals.
Colour: Available in yellow, rose or white gold which is achieved by mixing different types of metals for the remaining 25%. 18k yellow gold has a lighter yellow hue as compared to 20k and above.
Value: Sold at per-piece pricing instead of by per gram. Can be sold for cash or traded-in but lower value retainment and might not be accepted at all gold shops.
Design Limitations: Not much. Most commonly used for fine jewellery and designs with special mechanism and unique setting styles.

14k gold ( 585 )
Purity: Made up of 58.5% of pure gold and remaining percentage made up of a mix of other metals.
Colour: Available in yellow, rose or white gold which is achieved by mixing different types of metals for the remainingĀ percentage. Less yellow as compared to gold types of higher gold content.
Value: Not as valuable due to the low gold content and might not be accepted at all gold shops.
Design limitations: N/A. We do not work with 14k gold.

9k Gold ( 375 )
Purity: 37.5% of pure gold with remaining percentage made up of other metals.
Colour: Less lustre and less shiny as compared to jewellery of higher gold content.
Value: Not much resale value and not accepted at most gold shops.
